Question by NavyWife: What is the earliest you can send out wedding invitations?

I’m already married, but my husband is in the Navy so we did the whole Justice of the Peace thing; but in December we are having a church wedding with all of our friend and family. I read on the internet that 8 weeks is ideal for sending out the invitations. But i’m the type of person who does everything in advance, I’m always always pre-prepared. I do have a lot of out of town guests since most of my family is in Arizona and the wedding is in Texas. When is the earliest I should send them out?

Since you have guests that will need to make travel plans, I would say to send them out 12 weeks in advance. But traditionally 8 weeks is plenty of time. If you send them out to early you run the chance of people losing them or forgeting about it.
