Question by Corey D.: What is the point of tissue paper in wedding invitations?

I just got a wedding invitation from a friend and there was tissue paper with the RSVP. Am I supposed to send that back with the RSVP?
LOL Ricardo, I think that tissue is a little too thin for me to wipe with.

Question by : How long should I book the wedding photographer for, and how much will your recommendation cost?

I’m looking at wedding photographer costs and many charge according to how much time they will be there for. How long do people recommend and how much should that cost? I don’t need the getting ready pics, its a catholic wedding (mass), and we have the reception venue for 5 hours and I haven’t figured out how much time to put between the ceremony and reception (advice on this would be appreciated as well). Any thoughts on how long?

I am getting married next year, and trying to cut costs as much as possible, so I am not hiring a wedding planner and am trying to plan it all by myself on a limited budget. I own my own consulting business and I work a full time desk job, so I don’t have a whole lot of time to sit down and spend on this wedding. Any ideas on how to make it cheap and simple for me?
See… the thing is my consulting business takes up most of my weekends and evenings. I have control of my hours, but the more hours I cut, the less money I have to use for the wedding.
Oh… and I would love to elope and just send everyone a postcard with our photo… LOL. But he’s the first born, first married of his siblings and it’s a big thing to him for his family to be there with us to watch us get married, and they can’t afford to take a trip to whatever destination we chose to watch us get married there.

My husband and I had a very small beach wedding in May and we’re planning on having a church wedding after he deploys. For our beach wedding he wore his blues. The first time I saw him in his alphas I fell in love all over again….. haha. Well I know that blues are for formal occasions, can Alphas also be worn at formal gatherings (I saw some guys wearing them at the ball)?
I like the vintage feel of alphas.

They can be… But they’re usually only worn if blues aren’t available. It’s your wedding though, you can do whatever you want.

I think you should buy a wedding bride magazine, and look through the adverts… and i think you could get it custom made.. most wedding dress are white, and so if you want purple.. you have to get it custom made. =) …. personally i would buy those wedding mag… and see who collection i like and ask..
