The perfect speech is 2-3 minutes. So we’re not exactly talking a state of the union address here.
A groomsman speech is easy. Start by saying who you are and how long you’ve known the groom, tell a funny (but clean) anecdote from sometime in the past to get a chuckle, mention briefly what a good guy he is, then start talking about how it was when he first met his fiance (if you knew him before then). Mention how he changed, became happier, more peaceful, head-over heels in love, never looked at any girl that way before, etc etc. If the bride starts tearing up, you’re doing good. Then say how you couldn’t imagine any woman more perfect for your best friend, than the bride. Raise your glass, congratulate them, ask everyone to toast with you, and then you’re done!
See? Easy. =) You don’t have to be long-winded. Short and sweet but from the heart is best.
