I’ve heard the “processional” is the term for the walk the bride takes down the aisle, towards her groom, at the start of the wedding (usually accompanied by her dad, etc)

So what is the term for the groom and bride walking back down the aisle together, at the end of the wedding??

I can’t remember!

My bride to be’s grandmother has a necklace she really wants her to wear. However she doesn’t actually like the necklace her grandmother is offering, and wants to borrow a necklace from my mother (who has offered to lend her jewelry). She is upset about upsetting her grandmother but would prefer not to wear that necklace. (i don’t have pictures of any of the necklaces.)
Any thoughts?

The bride should wear what she’s more comfortable in. She can’t forget that the necklace will live on in the wedding photos forever. Does she really want to look back on them and say, “I wish I had just put my feelings aside and wore my mother’s jewelery.”

She can ask her grandmother if maybe she can wear the necklace for the rehearsal dinner, but that she would like to wear her mother’s jewelery the day of the wedding because it’s more her style. The grandmother should understand.

I don’t think I would choose a big fluffy dress anyway but my mother acts like I should wear a pants-suit down the aisle because of my age. Is this normal or asking too much?
Sorry but I think it’s rude. I love my tattoo, it’s on my inner arm in black script and beautiful, and now the bride is asking me to cover it up if I want to be in her wedding. Should I suck it up and do it? I feel like if she really cared about me and wanted me in her wedding, she’d take me as I am lol.

Our friends are playing acoustic guitar for us and asked how long they should plan to play the songs for…

We’ll need a song for the bridesmaid processional, my (bride’s) processional and than recessional. I have 9 bridsemaids walking, three sets of parents and two ring bearers……..

I’ve played in weddings before. You can’t time it perfectly. Suggest the musicians have the appropriate music ready that you have chosen for the processional. They will keep on eye on the attendants to know whether to repeat (another verse) to give more time for the processional. Or they will be able to tell when it’s time to let the music fade away when everyone is in place. You don’t normally get to the end of a piece of music at a time like this. It’s not a concert. Explain to them they need to look at it as background music to the events that are taking place. When the processional is finished, they end the music at an appropriate place.
